DGN tax partner Shelly K. Bedford has been selected as a 40 Under 40 leader.  The honor was announced by the Traverse City Business News in September 2009 with its annual listing and profiles of honorees.

Mrs. Bedford joined Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth in 1996 and was named a partner in 2006.  A multi-state tax specialist, she oversees the tax department at DGN as well as the manufacturing industry niche team and the firm's technology initiatives.  She is a member of the Michigan Economic Development Foundation Board, the Munson Regional Healthcare Foundation Planned Giving Council and the Kiwanis Club of Traverse City as well as the Michigan Association of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs.  She holds a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University and a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Colorado.
