Does your organization require an annual audit or financial review? Preparation, organization and understanding information flow and regulations help make the process more productive and less stressful. This session gives an overview of audit requirements along with tips for organizing your work papers, reconciling bank statements and assembling the necessary reports and documentation. We’ll also discuss audit standards, the audit process, fieldwork and how to use your audit report. Please bring questions that you may have regarding your own audits.
Brian Dykstra, CPAjoined Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth in 2002 and has nearly twelve years of public accounting experience. As an audit supervisor, he has significant experience with government/nonprofits, agribusiness and service industries. Brian is a member of Dennis, Gartland & Niergarth’s audit department and government/nonprofit niche team. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Michigan Association of CPAs. Brian earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Western Michigan University.
