PCI Compliance

PCI Compliance Seminar 2/11

DGN partners with Safety Net to present free seminar on Managing the Risk of Credit Card Theft and Fraud.

Payment Card Industry (PCI) Standards govern the way businesses handle credit cards.  In response to increased card fraud, the industry and a council of experts formed rules around card data security.  There are twelve requirements in all, covering areas form Internet firewalls to employee policies.

By taking steps toward PCI Compliance, you protect your organization's good name and customer confidence.  More businesses outside of conventional retail or food service sectors are taking credit cards as payment (even on large sales) to improve cash flow and avoid the cost and hassles of collections.  Many of the requirements under PCI ends up protecting all data on teh network, not just card data, further protecting the company's intellectual assets.
